               Dental implants:
Dental implants are substitute teeth roots, resembling screws. These screws are made of titanium or its alloy. The implants are bonded to the living bone structure of the jaw.
Prosthetic crowns fastened with machined screws are placed on top of the implant to replicate the missing teeth. Prosthetic options include single crowns (caps), bridgework or an implant retained overdenture.

. Conventional implants are applicable to almost anyone who is looking to replace one, multiple, all missing teeth with a permanent restoration solution.
      . Immediate implants are also known as one day or same day implants. In this case dental implants are placed immediately after teeth are extracted.
      . Immediate loaded implants are whereby permanent or temporary crowns or bridges which are installed on the dental implants after surgical implantation.

The type of dental implants selected will be dependent on the patients' specific needs and general dental condition. A panoramic X-ray and/or CT scan is usually required to evaluate the amount of bone in order to determine the space available to diagnose the options best suited for each case.

Indications:
     - If you are missing a tooth, you do not need to crown the adjacent teeth in order to fill the empty space by building a bridge.
     - If you have an excessive bone resorption that causes loose dentures and thus sore gums because of friction or food trapped under the bridgework. Implants combined with clips or attachments allow dentures to fit tight.
